A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

I've been working in films for over fifteen years across languages, formats and scales and somewhere along the way, post-production became the part of the process I loved most. The room where the film finally becomes itself.

But I didn't stay in one chair. I came up through the work : Supervising Producer, Executive Producer, then Producer; and along the way I sat through every stage of how a film gets made: development, production, post and distribution. That full-circle experience is what I bring to the room today. I can step into a project strategically; as a co-producer, both on the creative side and on post; because I've already done the work from each angle

In 2019 I founded VU Talkies to do that work the way I believed it should be done: a producer at the center of post, accountable for the budget and the schedule, but also for the taste and the temperature of the room. Not a facility. A producer's practice.

Since then, the work has grown. I served as Post-Production Supervisor on "The Elephant Whisperers", which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short and became the first woman from Kerala to attend the Oscars. My international trajectory has been shaped by selection for the Netflix–APostLab Programme (2019), NFDC's Producer's Lab (2022) and the Creative Producer Indaba (2025) by the Realness Institute; in partnership with EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs); programmes that have connected me to global co-production networks and the producers building across them. I also advise and invest in Reelwise Entertainment, an AI media-tech startup building a story-intelligence platform.

What I want from the years ahead is to keep building VU Talkies into a partner filmmakers trust; in India and across borders; and to be in the room for the kind of films that matter, wherever in the world they're made.
